We had a fantastic trip on the 5th of June to our local Marlfield Lake and St. Patrick's Well. At Marlfield, we identified some of the birds from our STAG painting including Mallard duck, moorhen, coot and heron. At St. Patrick's Well, we met David who gave the children a great history on the Well and St. Patrick's use of it to baptise the crowds. Pupils experienced the spring water and the feeling of peace and calm. A wonderful real-life learning experience for all to be immersed in history and nature.
